Phase II ESA · NYSDEC Investigation · Remediation
The site was historically operated as a gasoline station with significant petroleum contamination documented in soil and groundwater. Following NYSDEC approval, Tetra oversaw an in-situ solvent injection remediation program to address the residual contamination and achieve site closure.
Phase I ESA · Phase II ESA · Brownfield Assessment
A Phase I ESA identified that the site had been operated as a dry cleaner for over 40 years, raising significant concern for chlorinated solvent contamination. Tetra conducted an extensive Phase II investigation using more than 10 soil borings, 10 monitoring wells, and 20 soil vapor implants to fully characterize the extent of contamination and support the client's redevelopment plans.
Phase II ESA · Vapor Intrusion Assessment
An adjacent property had documented contamination and the client needed to know whether it was impacting their site. Tetra completed the full investigation in a single day — installing monitoring wells and soil vapor probes to assess off-site migration. Results demonstrated no impact to the subject property.
Phase II ESA · Hazmat Assessment · Regulatory Notification
Phase II assessment of a former auto repair facility identified petroleum and solvent contamination in soil, a cracked foundation allowing potential vapor intrusion, and improper hazardous waste storage on-site. Findings were reported to the NYSDEC in accordance with reporting obligations.
